A New Blog is Born

There once was a king who owned ten wild dogs, their predatory ways were known throughout the kingdom. When a servant made a mistake, even a small one, the king would throw the servant to the dogs. To be ripped to shreds in front of an audience.

Then one day a servant who had spent many, many years serving the king faithfully made a mistake, and the king ordered the servant to be thrown to the dogs.

The servant fell to their knees and begged the king, “I have served you for ten long years, can you please grant me ten days before you throw me to the dogs?” After a moment’s thought, the king granted this last wish.

The servant was taken to the prison where they asked the guard if they could serve the dogs for their remaining days. The guard agreed, glad that he did not have to do it, and the servant set out to take care of the dogs; the servant fed the dogs, cleaned their kennel, and washed them. Taking care not to neglect any of the dogs.

After ten days, the king ordered the servant to be thrown to the dogs but when the dogs were released from their kennel to everyone’s amazement, the ravenous dogs licked the servant’s feet.

The king perplexed, and slightly angry, at what he saw demanded, “What happened to my dogs?”

The servant bowed their head and replied, “I served the dogs for only ten days, and they didn’t forget my services. I have been your servant for ten years and you forgot everything at my first mistake.”

The king, realizing his mistake, ordered the servant to be reinstated.

You may be reading this and confused as to why I started my first blog entry with a story about man-eating dogs and a heartless king. But really, it is the message that I wanted to bring to the forefront: Gratitude.

Gratitude (noun) the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful.

I do not want to be like the king and not be grateful for the people in my life because even though I may not say it often enough, I do care about you all. You all have made a powerful impact on me, and I am thankful that you play a part in my life. I want to thank my family because they have been with me through the good times and the bad times. They have supported me and never let me quit even when I wanted to end my writing career early. I also want to thank all my friends, online and offline, for their support and their help with my projects. I really couldn’t have created what I have without you. I also want to thank you for visiting and for the continued support.

As for updates, I have officially created my blog and named it Vivid Dreams as I have been called a dreamer many times and my dreams are always unique and full of story ideas. Though, with dreams come nightmares and my life has seen it’s fair share of pain, such as the death of my husband… But! That will probably be another blog for the future. I have also updated several links on Shadow-Rose.Org but not too many as everything is still in the early stages of production, please keep checking back for updates or feel free to contact me.  Forever Alone also has a new layout featuring Triaska (ElementalEyes) and Xyandreal (AngelicSin). There are also a few new poems listed as well, please feel free to check them out!

For current projects, I am working on bringing StarCrusade back online for those who followed my Otaku Senshi. There will be a new layout with new profile images by the amazing ReignRaven23 from DeviantArt and two new chapters which I am hopeful you will read. The galleries will also be updated with new artwork which I thank the artists for producing for me.

I want to thank you once again for visiting and for reading this rather long entry. The story in the beginning is not my own but someone else’s and all credit goes to them. Thank you for sharing it with the world.

Chibi profile images were created for me by zorayozora and the image to the left of Triaska (ElementalEyes) and Xyandreal (AngelicSin) is by PaulDNG. Thank you both for the amazing illustrations!
